The Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato
The hills of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are the birthplace of Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti. Nearly 10,000 hectares of vineyards shape a unique landscape, sculpted by generations of farmers in deep harmony with the land. The Langhe stand out for their calcareous marl and sandstone soils, while Monferrato and Roero are characterised by clay-sandy terrains. Their strategic position between the Ligurian coast and the Alps provides an ideal climate, with cold winters and warm summers — perfect conditions for vine growth and for the full expression of the grapes’ aromatic potential.
